Feather River Rowing Club - 2015
an invitation to...

...health, happiness and serenity through rowing.

Hello my name is Mike Seely and I am the President of the Feather River Rowing Club (FRRC). Rowing Club (FRRC). We are now entering our sixth year as a club and our fourth season of managing the Forebay Aquatic Center. The marriage of these two entities has become quite symbiotic in that the activities we conduct at the Forebay are mutually beneficial.

This year will be an exciting year because we have received a grant from the City of Oroville through the Supplemental Benefit Fund which will allow us to develop new programs for both the Educational Outreach and our Rowing Activities.

For a look at the Educational Programs visit Forebay Aquatic Center Website.

For Rowing Activities you can expect:

1. Continued group and private lessons in sculling and sweep rowing.

2. Our second year of offering summer rowing camps for Middle School children for our junior rowing program.

3. Three Regattas ( two 1-K Sprints and one 5-K Head Race)scheduled for the summer and fall.

4. Renewed efforts to continue our adaptive rowing instruction for the disabled.

5. Continued availability of Family Rowboats with remote picnic sites.

6. Continued support of the Chico State Rowing Team – who recently brought home a silver medal for Women’s Fourplus at the Western Regional Championships in Sacramento.

To get more information about these programs, click on one of the “paddles” on the left side of this page. If you have questions, go to the contact page or call 530.774.7934.
